Hampshire County Recycling Center
is open each Wednesday and Saturday, 8:00 am until 12 noon. It was constructed
in 2017 and is operated by the Hampshire County Commission, with funds from a WV
REAP grant that covers salaries for an attendant and hauling fees to Apple
Valley Waste, the company that picks up the full bins of cardboard and mixed
paper, and hauls them to their processing facility.
We accept corrugated and other cardboard, such as cereal boxes & paper towel rolls. All cardboard should be flattened. Do not include greasy pizza boxes
We accept newspaper, magazines, catalogs, books, office paper, and junk mail. Do not include “dirty” paper.
Also located at the County Recycling Center is a pick up point maintained by the Hampshire Recycling Cooperative. Their volunteers collect clean steel and aluminum cans.
